The Department has both paid and volunteer members who provide a valuable service to their neighbors and the community.  As a volunteer you will join a group of dedicated, highly trained men and women who value both safety and community service. WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO JOIN?  · Be at least 18 years of age. · Have a willingness to learn. · Have a desire to serve the community. · Pass a basic physical exam. Note: All applications are subject to background checks and reference checks. EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING The Town of Blooming Grove provides the latest equipment and training necessary to make you a firefighter and/or and EMT.  Training is provided by the Blooming Grove Fire Department, Madison College, and other specialized training organizations.  Training drills are held on Mondays at 6:30 P.M.
