Our volunteers are an important part of our operation.  They provide the majority of our staffing.  The career staff provide 24-hour coverage at the fire station. Our combination system offers the citizens of Blooming Grove and Burke a variety of firefighting and technical expertise by combining the professional disciplines of our volunteers and the firefighting experience of our system as a whole.  We hope you enjoy your visit to the Blooming Grove Fire Department Website. Blooming Grove Fire and EMS Family & Friends

At the Town Board meeting Tursday evening, May 12, 2015, the Board voted 3-1 to begin using the City of Madison Fire Department for Fire & EMS services effective July 1, 2015, assuming the City can forge an agreement with the Town of Burke by that date. From what I’ve been told, that is likely.

This is a emotional day for the Blooming Grove Fire Department and its proud tradition here at Blooming Grove Fire.

That said, I understand the Board’s decision and will respect it. It is now my job to lead the transition over the next couple of months, and I sincerely hope you will continue to work with me to accomplish that. I would rather see us go out with our heads held high! and what we have accomplished over the past 75 years!
